Zeus came to the Pound on 25/03/2025, from a rescue that is closing down
He's a lovely boy who wants all the loves!
He's young and boisterous but with clear boundaries and training he is coming along nicely. He's learning to walk on the lead , however does pull but again with training he will learn to walk nicely.
Zeus is sociable and enjoys company of humans and dogs . He's good with children too but he is bouncy so needs to be supervised and corrected if he gets over excited.
Overall Zeus is a wonderful boy, he'd suit an active family that can facilitate his high energy he won't do well In a home where minimal exercise is given this boy loves to run so he could be a suitable candidate for canicross
Zeus's favourite thing is to play fetch with his squeaky ball

Jenni is a wonderful dog, we believe around 18 months old and has been with us since April 2024.

Jenni does have Leishmania - Many dogs live long and happy lives, despite their positive Leishmania. For Jenni, the Leish is totally under control and there are no concerns or problems for her related to the disease. She takes 2 pills a day to maintain her good health in this regard, and has a 6-monthly blood test. We will talk to potential adopters about this & provide information.

Demitra is such a sweet pup! She has come to us, from a local rescue who has closed down.
With a broken leg and pelvis, this little lady was in need of some TLC. Thanks to a kind gentleman, she was able to have surgery to fix her leg - what a trooper!
Demitra may be a bit shy around strangers at first, but give her a sniff and a treat, and you’ll have a friend for life!
She’s a Labrador cross pointer, weighing around 18kg and is approximately 2 years old.
With the right home and environment, we know this girl will thrive and become an incredible furry companion.
She’s a social butterfly who gets along well with other dogs and is a hit with kids. Her favorite pastimes include chewing on antlers, bouncing on the trampoline, and digging holes in the yard with her buddies.

Ronnie - Looking for a Foster Home in Cyprus whilst waiting her Forever Home
Ronnie is approximately 14months old.
She is young, bouncy and can be boisterous, but with clear boundaries and training she will thrive in the right home. She needs a home that is experienced with dogs and training them positively and understanding her needs.
We believe Ronnie is a Rottweiler & Labrador cross ... Ronnie does have the Rottweiler grumble, which can be easily misread for growling. When she's enjoying something she will make a noise that sounds like a growl, however, this is known as the "grumble" anyone who owns a Rottweiler, or a cross with one, will know what I'm trying to explain!
It's easy to get confused and think she's growling but our volunteers have all said the same thing ….. It’s enjoyment on her behalf. So, her new home needs to understand her body language when she does this, so they can determine if it’s a happy grumble or a warning.
Ronnie is a sweet loveable girl who knows her own mind…. if she is unhappy about something she will let it be known, through a warning growl. This is a credit to her ... it means she is able to develop a good relationship with her humans, so they know her likes and dislikes and she feels able to express the things she likes and the things she is not so keen on.
Ronnie weighs 23kg and is approximately medium in size; She has lived in a home, walks well on her lead (with a halti), is vaccinated and is booked in to be spayed. She can live with other dogs and children 10+.

Evie - recovering from Surgery
Our New girl was signed over to us on 03/07/2025 by the community.
Evie was in a lot of pain when she came to us and has since had surgery on her cruciate ligament. Surgery went well & she is now back at the pound, which is actually the best place for her as being in a pen she has limited exercise and nothing to jump up on .
She is on pain medication to manage her pain after the operation and should make a full recovery in around 6-8 weeks.
She's very scared and unsure. It's been alot for her but she's in the best place and has all of PDRC behind her.
She's an older girl around 7-8 years , and once recovered she will be looking for her retirement home

Florence - in Foster, with her puppies!
Florence came to us on 05/04/2025
We discovered Florence was pregnant, not long after she came to us.
This beautiful little lady gave birth to her six puppies on 17th May 2025 - 5 boys & 1 girl!
Momma & babies are all doing well! in their Foster Home where they will stay until the pups are weened
Please help us cover the costs of her paid foster , any medical intervention that may be needed , health checks for mom & pups etc

Bruce is a staffy cross & arrived on 04/04/2025 - he was found in a local village and picked up by the community warden.
Isn't he just gorgeous?!
Bruce has had his health check he's healthy which means he is now ready to find his forever home
He is believed to be an American Staffy and around 1 years of age !! He is the friendliest of dogs who just wants to be with you and love you! His tail never stops wagging ! He's a big boy weighing 28kgs and he will grow and fill out as he matures .
Due to laws in England and Wales, Bruce will need to re-homed in Cyprus

This sweet girl is ready to find her forever family, having come to us from another Rescue which was closing down.
Inara is a 3 year old girl who was found wandering the streets by her previous rescue.
She may have a mix of pointer & beagle in her family tree.
She's a happy go lucky girl who had lots of energy and love! She loves playing with other dogs.
She is cat friendly, can be homed with children age 6+ who understand that she will need her own space at times.
She is nervous around new people but once you have her trust, she is your best friend
